This is the only sushi place i go to! its spicy tuna roll is better than any i’ve tried in the area. the philadelphia roll is also extremely well balanced, thick pieces of salmon, avocado, and cream cheese. the lunch deal (any three rolls for 13.99) is ideal if you can get there before 3pm! the waitress (who i believe is also the owner!) is fantastic, often giving us extra candy and these gorgeous little macaroons. She is always there when we come in. i’ve never had a bad experience here and i have brought my friends, family, dates and the food has always been good and the service top notch!!

I don't usually write comments, but I've tried different sushi places in New Haven, and this is the best one. The order is prepared fast, and it doesn’t impact the quality. The portion sizes and packaging for delivery are always prepared with care, and the miso soup is so hot that it’s still warm when it arrives! This place truly takes care of its customers and I don’t understand why some ratings are poor. Thank you to the manager, the team who prepared in Philadelphia, California sushi, and the miso soup. Thank you for a wonderful experience every time. Wishing you all the best!

Did the Uber eats buy one get one deal. Really tasty sushi! Probably what you should stick to from here. California roll and shrimp tempura roll is what I got. For the California roll, the shrimp was fresh along with the avocado, and the rice was tasty along with crunchy cucumber. Shrimp tempura roll was still warm when I got home and the shrimp was crunchy and accompanied with a nice sweet tempura sauce. Will definitely get take out again if the deal continues

Just tried Sushi Mizu for takeout for the first time and I have to say it was delicious. Very pleasant surprise due to the mixed reviews. I will admit walking in made me question if I made the right call. I would highly suggest taking out, but undoubtedly the food was great. I got the KFC Bao (a must), eel avocado roll, shrimp avocado roll, New Haven roll (amazing!), and a Yaki Udon w/ beef (good - think beef lo mien not as oily, and had a good array of veggies: mushroom, broccoli, zucchini, and carrots). All was great, I will be returning, seems like a nice working family. Update: second time - still awesome! The Dinner Bento Box is good value.

Real score 4.4 I had sashimi combo. At first I was turned off but the shrimp and imitation crab as part of the portioning and everything being served in to go containers. But the soup was good, And it was an Amazing value for what I got! I'm staying across the street and will be back again!

I dined in today with a friend of mine. The food was incredible and the staff was so kind and attentive. The Spicy Crab roll was my absolute favorite! It was so refreshing yet tasty. My friend enjoyed her Chicken Tempura Roll, the serving size was so big she couldn’t finish it but it was delicious. The Mango Sticky rice was sweet and tasty, the mangoes were very ripe and cold as well. We will be coming here more often as regulars and hope to try more on the menu!

Don’t understand the mixed reviews, I’ve been ordering takeout from this place very often for three years and the sushi is always of great quality and very fresh. I’ve gotten salmon, tuna, yellowtail, and shrimp tempura sushi and it’s always been well prepared, neat, and tastes amazing. The food comes out real quick too, and you can get a good amount of sushi for a fairly good value. Can’t speak to anything other than the sushi here, but would definitely recommend to a friend.
